Change for the better is always a good thing.  But it's not enough to have people willing to effect a change if there is no money to support the programs.  And where does the money come from?  People donate to charities, businesses donate and the government sometimes comes through with funding.  However, the programs in my community, which are similar to the ones offered in Saint John's North End, are in jeopardy.  With record numbers of unemployment in Hamilton, we now have more people needing community programs and fewer able to support them.  It's a vicious cycle.  Good programming needs good funding.  Where does the money come from when everybody is suffering in some way or another?
